What Customers Say About Sony DVP-NC800H/B HDMI/CD Progressive Scan 5-Disc DVD Changer Black:

Until this claim is processed in 14 days or so, my money will remain tied up. I just processed an A to Z claim through Amazon.com. Yet no response was received.

I tried changing several HDMI cables but it was no use. I will not buy another product supplied by Brandbargain. It appears this product was defective.

I requested a full refund within 7 days as per their policy. I wrote 3 emails to Brandbargains thru Amazon.com.

There was no response from the seller.

I supposed one can put in 5 dvd's to watch movies all day, all night long. I connected a hdmi cable from the Sony CD/DVD player directly to my 55 inch Sony Bravia 1080p LCD Tv for improved hi-def dvd image quality, and I connected an optic audio cable from Sony CD/DVD player to my Onkyo home theater receiver for surround sound. Also, dvd upconverting or upscaling of my older dvd's is superb.

Unless, of course, they just want to sound like experts. Of course if I just want to hear the cd or dvd audio through my Sony Bravia LCD TV speaker, the hdmi cable which I have connected directly to the TV enables me to do that. Yeah, it takes a small while for the Sony player to set itself to play the first disk, but it's no big deal.

This is a great product; specially when I can put 5 music cd's and play each cd non-stop. I don't know why some of these critics offer negative reviews. But to have the option of hearing the audio play through my home theater for that surround sound movie theater-like sound effect, the choice of using optic audio cable or coax audio cable connections works great.

The image is clear and crisp. But I don't want to sprout roots on the couch and become a permanent couch potato.

You can change a disc out while another one is playing.I do not have this hooked up to high audio/video connections. There are other brands that are more expensive, and indeed, they may be better. this changer will not get much us.

I'm happy with the sound and picture quality. You just have to decide what your primary use will be and if it warrants the extra expense. I don't know how it would do on my HDTV with sound system. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to have a multi disc changer, this is a great one.

I needed a secondDVD changer for another room. My TV is about 6 years old and not an HDTV. For me, this secondary unit that will only get about 8 hours airtime a month doesn't need to be the best, highest end.

i chose sony over other brands because their multi disc players always worked for me. Just with the cords out the of the box.

I hope it can be fixed, otherwise it's just $130 down the drain, basically. It could pay for shipping and labor to send it back to Sony where they'll just cover parts, but I'm guessing it'll be cheaper to take it to a local repair location. We'll just suddenly here the disk start sliding around inside the player.

It was to replace the DVD player we bought together 7 years ago. The DVDs are getting knocked out of place somehow. I bought this DVD player for my husband for Christmas.

Either when we first close the tray, or sometimes in the middle of the movie. I don't consider 5 months to be a very reliable life span for a DVD player. That DVD player was still working for the most part, it just skipped every now and then, so we retired it to the guest room.

Now we've had this Sony DVD player for 5 months and it's broken.

It may be a while before I try a DVD as I have another unit for that job. I have not used this CD/DVD player much except to play music. Works great in that department.
